A youngster lands a beautiful wild steelhead on a shrimp pattern out of the Elk River near Port Orford, OR. The Elk River was designed for fly fishing, it is a small coastal river that does not require a long cast to find the fish. We drifted from the Elk River Hatchery to Ironhead with a fish score of 4 for 5. Oregon's Elk River Is known for its late fall run of King's but also has a healthy steelhead population.
