A Beautiful Northern California wild steelhead caught by a fly fisherman on the Eel River. Northern California has five rivers that pour into the ocean with viable wild steelhead populations. These rivers all have different characteristics and react differently to rain storms. The Eel River being the farthest to the South is only a four hour drive to the Smith River which is the Northern most river on the Northern Coast of California.
