We have spent the last month chasing steelhead from the Main Stem Umpqua in Oregon to the Mattole River in Northern California. we have been working very hard for each fish this season, averaging 1-3 hook-ups per day making the ones that hit the net even more special. The rivers of Southern Humbodlt have had slow fishing for the month of January but the fish we are catching are quality fish, we had 4 fish break us off using 12lb. Maxima. Up in Oregon we enjoyed the glory week of January fishing the Elk River and Sixes River after the rainstorm that hit the Southern Oregon Coast January 17th. With a big storm hitting the coast in early February we are expecting to see some good fishing through the middle of the month. We still have six dates available in month of February, book your next steelhead trip before they fill up.
