As March winds down and the steelhead return to the Pacific Ocean to replenish thier strength for thier next battle, I am going to post some pics from this month. We recieved a little over 140 inches of rain this season from October through March. This made it extremeley hard to put up a good fish score to my standards. All the high water conditions this season let the fish come and go as they pleased, bringing a few fish into the rivers on each tide. We never had a large push of fish that had been held back by low water. After the last four years of the seals and fisherman having thier way with the steelhead, the fish finnally got rewarded with a record breaking amount of water this season. It was the year for the fish! I am looking forward to catching all of thier offspring in the years to come. With Alaska on my mind the steelhead gear is getting packed up for the South East Alaskan Steelhead Season. Looking forward to returning next fall to a brand new batch of fresh fish!
